Homeshare

UX & Brand Redesign

HomeShare was a housing platform that enabled affordable city living in shared apartments, with roommates that are matched based on personality. But they needed a visual redesign that would increase sales for their target demographic: Millennials. I conducted research and applied a new visual design in order to improve brand trust, usability, and sales conversions.

Apartment hunting should be as quick and easy as booking a hotel. So if HomeShare intends to cater to Millennials, they should be creating a website that excites them, stands out from the crowd, and makes apartment hunting a seamless and delightful experience. Usability improvements from this project included:

  • 73% of respondents preferred the new homepage design over the existing version

  • 21% increase in brand trustworthiness over the existing conversion funnel

  • 19% increase in perceived usability compared to the existing UI
